Service Agreement
Protecting your cargo, clarifying our commitment. Everything we do at CPT CONSOLIDATION & DISTRIBUTION, INC. is built on a foundation of transparency and operational excellence.
1. Service Engagement
By engaging the logistics services of CPT CONSOLIDATION & DISTRIBUTION, INC., you're entering a binding agreement that governs the transport, handling, and warehousing of goods. Why does this matter? Because we believe that clear expectations lead to safer freight outcomes.
We've spent 17 years refining our transit protocols. Whether we're managing a single LTL shipment or a complex intermodal transition, these terms ensure your cargo is handled according to industry-best practices.
2. Freight Liability & Claims
While our dispatch team works tirelessly to prevent disruptions, logistics involves variables beyond human control. Our liability for loss or damage is strictly limited to the values defined in our standard insurance riders, unless additional coverage is declared before pickup.
Claims must be filed within 48 hours of delivery signature. Don't wait. We recommend thorough inspection at the point of receipt to ensure immediate documentation of any discrepancies.
3. Warehousing Protocols
Goods stored at our 425 Steelway facility are subject to the Warehouse Receipts Act standards. Storage fees are calculated on a monthly cycle, and we reserve the right to a lien on goods for unpaid storage or transit balances.
Insurance & Coverage
Standard transit insurance covers up to $2.00 per pound. For high-value electronics or machinery, we offer supplemental riders to ensure total peace of mind.
Carrier Limitations
Transit times provided by our dispatch are estimates. While we pride ourselves on a 98% on-time rate, weather and traffic are the only things we can't schedule.
Hazardous Materials
Only pre-approved Class 3-9 materials are permitted. All others will be rejected at the gate.
Payment Terms
Net-15 for established accounts. New clients are COD (Cash on Delivery) for the first five loads.
Privacy Policy
Your shipping data is encrypted. We don't share manifests with third-party marketers. Ever.
4. Force Majeure
Sometimes nature wins. CPT CONSOLIDATION & DISTRIBUTION, INC. isn't liable for delays caused by acts of God, civil unrest, or global supply chain interruptions. We'll always communicate, but we can't move a truck through a hurricane.
